Dividend Rate and APY (Annual Percentage Yield)
The dividend rates as of the last dividend declaration date:
Account Balance $ 2,500 to $ 9,999 - 1.99% (APY 2.01%)
Account Balance $10,000 to $24,999 - 2.19% (APY 2.21%)
Account Balance $25,000 and over - 2.34% (APY 2.37%)
Variable Rate Accounts
The dividend rate and annual percentage yield may change every quarter as determined by the Credit Union’s Board of Directors.
Compounding
Dividends will be compounded quarterly and credited quarterly. The dividend period is a quarter. The beginning date of the first dividend period of the calendar year is January 1 and the ending date is March 31. All other dividend periods follow this pattern of dates. The dividend declaration date is the ending date of the dividend period and for the example, is March 31. The dividend declaration date is the date the Credit Union’s Board of Directors declared a dividend for the preceding dividend period.
Effect of Closing an Account
If you close your account before dividends are paid, you will not be paid the accrued dividends for the period.
Minimum Balance Requirements
To open a money account, you must have a minimum deposit of $2,500. You must be a member of the credit union and purchase and maintain a $5 share in a regular share account.
To avoid a service fee, you must maintain a minimum balance of $2,500 in your account. If the balance falls below the minimum during any quarter, you will be charged a service fee of $25.00 for the period.
To earn the annual percentage yield disclosed, you must maintain a minimum daily balance of $2,500 for each day of the dividend period. You will not earn dividends for any day that your balance drops below $2,500.
How Dividends are Calculated
Dividends are calculated using the daily balance method. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the balance in the account each day.
When Dividends Begin to Accrue
Dividends begin to accrue on cash and noncash deposits, such a checks, on the business day you make your deposit.
Fee Schedule
$25.00 fee if account balance falls below $2,500 during any quarter.
Transaction Limits You may not make more than six ( 6) withdrawals or transfers from your account during any quarter. There is no limit on the number of deposits you can make to the account.
Nature of Dividends
Dividends are paid from current income and available earnings, after required transfers to reserves at the end of a dividend period.
